In term 1 Fairhaven school went on a Marae trip, there were lots of activities to do. One of the best parts was doing the beach clean up. We had some workers from Westpac join us. We had bright red bibs to wear ( they kept our clothes clean ) and gloves ( they kept our hands clean! ) Each class had a different part of Maketu Beach to clean up - the juniors did the playground area my class did the beach area by the surf club. It was amazing - we found tons of rubbish! Yuck !
